Mt. Bachelor Welcome to my website. We moved to Bend Oregon in late 1988 from San Jose, CA. What a change that was! At the time, Bend was a small town that had yet to be "discovered" by the crowds that now live here. Bend's draw was clean air, great fishing and hunting, inexpensive real estate prices and a small town feel that you could no longer find in California. I remember hearing from some folks that had recently moved here that Bend would someday become the next "Aspen". They were right. http://www.ci.bend.or.us/about_bend/index.html
Bend has changed, but many things have stayed the same; numerous lakes with some of the best trout fishing in the NW, fantastic views of the Cascade Mountain Range, one of the best ski areas on the West Coast (Mt. Bachelor), and the proximity to the high desert and mountain ranges to the east. www.mtbachelor.com Business Contact...... My mortgage company, Trust Lending Corporation which had been operating in Oregon since 1996 has closed and I have accepted a position with Umpqua Bank, "The World's Greatest Bank", as a residential Loan Officer. Sunflower Flats Some time ago my wife Cindy and myself decided that we wanted to own a piece of property we could enjoy, far away from the crowds, and in an area that was still undeveloped. We purchased a 160 acre parcel in the Ochoco Mountains which was completely surrounded by Forest Service land and was secluded from the ourside world. The property is called Sunflower Flats. It is a property with great history as well as a home for deer, elk, turkeys and other critters. During the spring and summer, once the snow has melted and the roads have dried a bit, we pull our trailer out to Sunflower and enjoy the magic of the area and the Ochocos. We have started restoration projects on the land which will improve the wildlife habitat and forest health. With help from our freinds at Rager Ranger Station, The NRCS, The Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation and the Oregon Hunter's Association, our section of the Ochoco Mountains will continue to be a santuary for wildlife and a healthy forest resource. http://www.fs.fed.us/r6/centraloregon/projects/units/paulina/index.shtml

Picture from the Eastern Oregon desert When I'm not working or at Sunflower, Cindy and I like to ride on our ATVs out east of Bend or take trips to some of the interesting sites in Oregon. In the summer we do lot's of yard work at home and take in some of the local hot spots for good food and micro-brews. It's great to have friends visit us....it gives us a good excuse to become tour guides! To all of our friends and family, keep in touch and may God Bless you all....He has blessed us greatly!
